🥒 We’ll kick off with an interactive awareness workshop followed by pickleball and free pizza. Bring “anything but a racket” to play with (or use one of ours), and make sure to RSVP by Friday, Sept. 11 using the link in our bio—spots are strictly limited to 40 participants!

Bring anything BUT a pickleball paddle, and be ready to have a fun and enriching time 💖🧠 With this event, our goal is that all attendees unwind and learn how to hold space for your friends through the suicide prevention training led by licensed mental health counselors! 💙

The ASA Leadership Team is ready for the 26-27 school year ❤️‍🔥

The Directors and Interns spent our team retreats reflecting and preparing for the upcoming school year. As we sat with gratitude for the past 5 years, we took a moment to remember our why, which begins with our personal stories.

Throughout different seasons of our lives, there were moments when we each felt invisible, isolated, or powerless. There were also moments where we felt deep connection, joy, and hope. All of these experiences metabolized into something bigger than ourselves—a desire to make a difference in the community.

We feel honored and excited to continue working to address the needs of young people and impact our communities. Here’s to another great school year!

One month ago, we celebrated ASA’s 5th birthday at the Wine & Zine fundraiser 💖 We crafted together and shared stories about our favorite childhood dinner. Together, we dreamed about a future where young Asian Americans grow up seeing their stories everywhere and know that they belong. That’s the world we want to create—one in which our youth work in solidarity with the larger community to build collective power, well-being, and belonging for all.

Candice Lin is a rising sophomore studying psychology, particularly interested in the intersection of human development, public policy, and design. Having grown up witnessing firsthand how environments that fail to meet people's needs can shape their development and the opportunities they receive, Candice is passionate about finding ways to better support children as they grow and learn. She dedicates her time to exploring how psychological research and civic engagement can come together to help increase access to support effectively, advancing accessible, tailored care for all.

Melody is a rising junior at Northview High School. Growing up as a Korean Chinese American, she experienced the challenges of navigating spaces where exclusion often went unspoken. Those experiences inspired her commitment to challenging systemic barriers and advocating for more inclusive communities.
Passionate about equity and belonging, Melody hopes to help create spaces where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered.

Thank you for celebrating our 5th year anniversary at the Wine & Zine fundraiser! We loved seeing everyone share stories from their childhood and capture what they wish they could tell their younger selves. It felt so healing and freeing— it isn’t every day that we get to reach back and reconnect with our inner child.

💖 Together, we raised over $8,000! We express our deepest gratitude to everyone who made a donation to support our work. Growing up between Korea and the U.S., she navigated what it means to be Asian in America from a young age, an experience that sparked her passion for advocacy, social justice, and building more inclusive communities. Chloe believes young people deserve spaces where they feel seen, heard, and empowered to lead.

Angela is a rising freshman at the University of Georgia, where she plans to pursue a double major in Political Science and International Affairs with a minor in Law, Ethics, and Philosophy. Growing up as a Korean American between Georgia, California, and frequent visits to Korea, she developed a deep appreciation for the ways culture, community, and identity shape our everyday lives.
Passionate about civic engagement, Angela is committed to creating spaces where young people feel empowered to make an impact. She hopes to help build connections across diverse perspectives while celebrating the unique stories that strengthen every community.
